Number of years at Lundbeck: 16
Swiss with Italian blood in my veins
Psychiatry Specialist
Working in the field means travelling every day, meeting several different people from the healthcare sector, in a wide variety of roles. I introduce them to Lundbeck products and services where appropriate based on their needs and try to establish and strengthen good long-term relationships with them.
The way our psychological evolution connects with the brain and the complexity of this organ has always fascinated me! When I was a young girl, my mother died of a stroke, which affected me very much. A few years later, I worked in neurosurgery and gained insight into the science behind what had happened in my mother's brain. It gave me a kind of peace because there was a certain clarity, and at the same time I also noticed that it changed my feelings.
I was working as an educator for mentally handicapped people at that time, and the job required me to gain more extensive knowledge of the subject matter, and it was along this path that a meeting with Lundbeck occurred. I have been working in the company for 16 years now and it delights and impresses me every day, the work that the company does to offer help and support for people affected with brain disease and their relatives or carers.
“I see in this company everything that counts for me; environmental awareness, innovation, commitment, active in trying to achieve equality between women and men in the workplace.” Mara Formentini
I see Lundbeck as a very innovative company. They focus on sustainability and actively look for new ways to reduce their impact on the environment. Attention is also paid to the proportion of women in management positions of the company. In summary, I see in this company everything that is important for me; environmental awareness, innovation, commitment, active in trying to achieve equality between women and men in the workplace.
That over the years I have been able to creatively contribute ideas and strategies and implement them in the field. I am proud to work with a company that focuses its efforts on helping to improve the quality of life for people living with brain disease.
I always keep an open mind to change, and the opportunity to have different experiences. Maintaining my authenticity and integrity is important, and I have developed great relationships with colleagues.
I have always continued educating myself and currently I am on the way to achieving a higher professional examination in art therapy.
