Meet our UK & Ireland Senior Leadership Team

Lundbeck UK's Senior Leadership Team (SLT) works closely together to deal with the operations and strategy that affect the UK and Ireland, in order to align with the Lundbeck Global strategy.  These members are led by Andrew Jackson, Managing Director UK & Ireland.

Andrew Jackson

Managing Director, UK & Ireland

Andrew Jackson joined Lundbeck UK in July 2009, bringing over 25 years of commercial leadership experience across multiple therapeutic areas and geographies. Known for driving business turnaround and strategic transformation, Andrew provides clear and transparent leadership that develops, empowers, and inspires high-performing, cross-functional teams. He is passionate about building a strong, agile organisation and is currently leading Lundbeck’s evolution into the neuro-rare space.


Andrew also sits on the Board of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI), representing the interests of smaller companies, and is a member of an ABPI Board Steering Group focused on enhancing the reputation of the pharmaceutical industry. 


Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Nottingham and has completed executive education in leadership and strategy. 

Roberto Lapenna

Director of Finance and Business Operations, UK & Ireland  

Roberto Lapenna joined Lundbeck in August 2016 and has nine years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Acting as Finance Director, UK & Ireland since June 2025, Roberto has played a key role in driving profitability and revenue growth. 


Prior to joining Lundbeck, Roberto held financial leadership roles, including Management Accountant at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where he managed a standalone entity with an annual turnover of €15 million, and later advanced to Senior Financial Accountant, overseeing financial operations across the UK business. He began his career at Cargill Inc., gaining experience in progressively senior financial roles across diverse business areas.  


Roberto holds a BSc (Hons) in German and Economics from the University of Surrey and is a CGMA-certified finance professional. He brings expertise in finance, operations, IT systems, and strategic commercial planning. 

Pat Campion 

Country Manager, IrelanD

Pat Campion joined Lundbeck in 2007 and currently serves as Country Manager for Ireland. With 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, he has led Lundbeck’s Irish business for the past 12 years, focusing on delivering strategic goals and managing profit and loss responsibilities.


Pat earned a Diploma in Strategic Growth in Biotech and Pharma from the Smurfit Business School. Pat is committed to driving patient access in Ireland and fostering collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem.

Caroline Miles

Head of People & Culture, UK & Ireland

Caroline Miles re-joined Lundbeck UK in April 2025 as Head of People & Culture for the UK & Ireland after a 4-year break, during which she worked as an independent consultant for small biopharma companies in the UK.  Caroline brings 25 years of HR experience, with 10 of those years focused on the pharmaceutical industry. 


Caroline holds a Master’s in HR Management and a specialist Paralegal qualification in Employment Law. Caroline is passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace culture where people thrive.

Laura Coyle

Head of SALES, UK

Laura Coyle joined Lundbeck in 2000 and brings 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She first discovered her passion for the industry while working at Boots Pharmacy in the dispensary during her school years. Since beginning her career as a medical representative, Laura has held various roles in sales, local market access, and marketing.


From 2018 to 2019, she served as Director-at-Large for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, where she focused on driving gender pay parity in the UK pharmaceutical industry.


Laura holds a Life Sciences Degree from Dundee University and is passionate about empowering teams, promoting gender equality, and advancing women’s leadership in the life sciences industry.

Jennifer Kelly

Head of Medical, UK & Ireland

Jennifer Kelly joined Lundbeck in January 2024 as Head of Medical for the UK & Ireland, where she leads strategic medical initiatives, scientific engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to advance brain health. Her current focus is enabling Lundbeck’s evolution into the neuro-rare space and fostering partnerships that contribute to improving patient outcomes. 

 

Known for her collaborative and inclusive leadership style, Jennifer combines scientific rigor with empathy and a strong commitment to partnership. Passionate about advancing care in neuroscience and rare diseases, Jennifer is dedicated to delivering meaningful impact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.


Jennifer qualified as a pharmacist, earning a BSc Pharm (Hons) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). After seven years working as a clinical pharmacist in the NHS, she transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry in 2016, holding progressive roles in medical affairs at Grünenthal, Merck Serono, Daiichi Sankyo, and Lundbeck.

Gawain Shirley

Head of Market Access, UK & Ireland

Gawain Shirley joined Lundbeck in 2007 and currently serves as Head of Market Access for the UK & Ireland, leading strategic initiatives to optimise patient access to Lundbeck’s neuroscience portfolio. With over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, he began his career at Pfizer in 2003 and has since held a range of commercial and market access roles across sales, pricing, and healthcare development.


Since joining Lundbeck, Gawain has held multiple leadership positions, including Divisional Sales Manager, Director of Healthcare Development, and Regional Account Director.  Gawain has a deep understanding of the UK healthcare landscape and a consistent focus on delivering value to patients and stakeholders.


Gawain holds a BSc in Biology from University College London and brings expertise in market access strategy, product launch planning, and cross-functional collaboration. He is passionate about improving outcomes for people living with psychiatric and neurological conditions and driving innovation in access pathways.

Natalie Verma

Head of Marketing, UK & IRELAND

Natalie Verma joined Lundbeck UK in July 2025 as Head of Marketing, UK & Ireland, bringing 11 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She began her career as a pharmacist and has since led marketing and commercial teams across branded and specialty medicines with Sanofi, Otsuka and ADVANZ PHARMA.


At Lundbeck, Natalie is dedicated to advancing mental health through strategic innovation and collaboration. Throughout her career, she has built and executed initiatives that expand patient access to cutting-edge therapies, elevate healthcare partnerships, and deliver measurable results that matter to patients and communities.


Natalie holds an MPharm from Keele University and an Executive MBA from IE Business School, Madrid.

Matt Evans

Head of Commercial Excellence, UK & Ireland

Matt Evans joined Lundbeck in April 2004 and brings 30 years of extensive pharmaceutical industry experience across multiple roles and geographies. As Head of Commercial Excellence for the UK & Ireland, Matt leads initiatives to optimise processes, enhance functional capabilities, and deliver data-driven solutions aligned with local and global priorities.


With extensive experience in market access, sales strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, Matt has contributed to product launches, lifecycle management, and digital innovation. He has held various leadership roles across the UK, Ireland, Nordics, and Baltics, and has also worked in medical publishing outside the pharmaceutical industry.


Matt holds a BSc in Human Biology from Leeds Metropolitan University (now known as Leeds Beckett University). He is passionate about fostering best practice exchange, building commercial capabilities, and driving measurable outcomes that support Lundbeck’s mission to improve patient care.
