Yoga with Aggie

Aggie started her yoga adventure in 2007 at the Yoga Vidya Gurukul school of yoga in India and since then yoga has become an important part of her life. She has completed 300 hours of yoga therapy training and 250 hours of Yoga Teacher Training in India. Over the years she continues to advance as a teacher and a learner, she has completed over 1000 hours of teacher training and opened a Yoga studio in Carlow, Ireland. She has been fortunate to have had the mentorship of many world class teachers throughout the years including Judith Lasater, Donna Farhi, Biff Mithoefer, and Sarah Powers.

 

Her 15 years of yoga & meditation teaching experience helped her to develop a unique style of teaching. She loves blending gentle and mindful styles of yoga like Yin, Restorative & traditional Hatha yoga.  She believes that practicing yoga from a place of awareness and self-compassion can bring balance and harmony to our lives. As a result, we become more connected with our inner world and the people around us.

This Restorative yoga class includes simple breathing exercises and restful yoga positions.  In a restorative practice, all yoga positions are held for a longer period to initiate a deeper state of relaxation. 

 

You will need to prepare a bolster or three pillows and a blanket.

This class is gentle somatic yoga. Somatic yoga focuses on the experience of the movements internally and creates a better awareness of the body.  During this class we will use small, fluid movements like rolling, sliding & rocking to increase a better awareness of the upper body region. This class will begin with lying on your back in the supine position.

 

For this class, you will need a blanket and a pillow.
