Vyepti® is given via an Intravenous Infusion (IV) every 12 weeks (3 monthly intervals).  It must be administered by a qualified Healthcare Provisional such as a nurse. Administration will take place in a suitable location such as an infusion centre, a Doctor’s office, a hospital, or in your own home as agreed by you and your Doctor.

What you may expect before your treatment

Get ready for your infusion

  • Drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment so that you are well hydrated

  • Wear comfortable clothing.  Make sure long sleeves can be rolled up over the elbow

  • If your infusion is being administered in the hospital or community clinic you could bring an extra layer of clothing in case the infusion location is chilly

Have what you need and know where you are going

  • Make a note of the time and place your infusion is being administered and make sure you know where you are going

  • If you received an appointment letter from the hospital or your doctor, make sure you have read it and, if asked, bring any paperwork, insurance details, etc. with you

What you may expect during your treatment

Given by a Healthcare Professional

  • A nurse or other healthcare professional will start your infusion and be available to answer any questions you may have

  • The infusion takes about 30 minutes to administer but you may be asked to wait a little longer after the infusion is given so it is best to allow yourself at least 60 minutes with the Healthcare Professional

Sit back and relax!

  • Use this time to read, use your phone to check emails, connect with others on social media, or just relax

What you may expect after your treatment

Schedule your next appointment

  • It’s a good time to schedule your next Vyepti appointment
  • You should receive one dose approximately every 3 months and it’s important to make sure you receive your next dose as per the recommended dosing schedule

Return to your daily activities

  • Once your infusion is over, you can go about your day. Remember if you experience any side effects either during or after the infusion it is important to inform your doctor or nurse specialist.
