Lundbeck A/S in Copenhagen.
The Biostatistics section is a dynamic section with a great diversity in tasks and strong involvement in all phases of drug development from research over first-in-man clinical studies to large regulatory submissions to agencies across the world. We have a strong focus on scientific development and knowledge sharing, and together we keep abreast of current practices in pharmaceutical R&D, state-of-the-art statistical methodology and contribute actively to scientific communities.
The Statistics Department consists of two sections; Biostatistics and Health Economics & Epidemiology Statistics. The department is part of the Biometrics Division, which also includes the departments Data Management & Programming and Bioinformatics. Biometrics has 85 engaged and competent employees, 70 located in Copenhagen and 15 in Singapore.

Your job
You will be the Project Statistician for a clinical development project working together with the cross-functional clinical project team. Project Statistician responsibilities include ensuring optimal designs and statistical strategies for the clinical studies and the clinical development plan in collaboration with other Lundbeck functions. You will be responsible for providing statistical input to the regulatory strategy and filing activities, providing statistical input for summary documents and acting as the statistical expert contact to regulatory authorities and external collaborators. You will lead the Biometric project team and be responsible for coordination of all biostatistical activities and for consistency and validity of the statistical methodology across the project. In addition, you will work as study statistician within the project. You will participate in preparing publications, and you will collaborate and contribute as the statistical expert in cross functional teams communicating statistics to non-statisticians.

Your qualifications

Our preferred candidate

  • has a MSc or PhD degree in Statistics or Mathematical Sciences
  • is an experienced biostatistician at least 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical setting
  • has a strong interest in applying statistical and mathematical methods to biological problems
  • has programming experience and familiarity with statistical software packages such as SAS and R
  • is analytical, goal-oriented, innovative and proactive
  • is a team player and enjoys the interaction with colleagues and collaborators from different functional areas
  • is fluent in oral and written English
