If you are passionate about automation and packaging equipment, have strong IT skills and experience in working with implementation and optimization of manufacturing equipment this job is a great opportunity for you. With approximately 300 people across manufacturing sites in Denmark and France, Finished Goods Production is responsible for packaging of Lundbeck’s commercial products worldwide, as well as packaging for clinical trials. You will join a team of highly skilled specialists and project managers responsible for introduction, technical support and optimization of automated packaging lines. Your job will be located in our headquarters in Valby, Denmark.

Your job
As Support and Optimization engineer you will play an important role in our continuous work to improve our processes and equipment with the aim of increasing Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE). You will be responsible for a portfolio of upgrade and optimization activities across our packaging lines, managing the entire process from registration over prioritization, planning, through execution and final evaluation of the individual projects and tasks.
You will drive the systematic evaluation of proposed improvements by collecting relevant data, performance of structured problem analysis and cost benefit calculations. Also, you will participate in defining and follow-up on the execution of activity plans.
The activities vary in scope and complexity, and will often involve a high number of participants from different parts of the organization. Your role will be to coordinate and follow up on the execution of the different activities.
Finally, when a project or an improvement has been performed you will evaluate the effectiveness of the solution.
All activities must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Therefore writing, review and execution of documentation such as change requests, test protocols and reports is an integral part of the work.

Our preferred candidate has the following professional and personal qualifications:

  • Relevant education, such as M.Sc. in Engineering or similar with at least two years of relevant working experience
  • Understanding of automated manufacturing equipment, and more importantly the curiosity to continuously improve within your field of expertise.
  • Identify and specify complex technical problems, analyze related data from different sources in a structured and systematic way and translate these into workable solutions
  • Work in a structured and disciplined way while maintaining quality and productivity
  • Establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at different levels
  • Balance assertiveness with empathy to create win/win situations
  • Build team spirit by listening, consulting and communicating openly and proactively
  • Accept and achieve demanding goals with enthusiasm

As some of the activities involve our international sites and suppliers, we expect you to be fluent in both English and Danish.
