We are looking for a talented, experienced and action-oriented Head of Global Market Research to lead the Global Market Research team. The Global Market Research team is part of the analytics department in Global Marketing. With several recent Lundbeck product launches, this role has the enviable position of being able to directly impact the future of several key products for Lundbeck.

Your job and key responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Head of Global Market Analysis, the Head of Global Market Research leads the global market research team and is accountable for the development and execution of market research and insights generation in close collaboration with affiliates, internal- and external stakeholders. The Head of Global Market Research is responsible for the daily management, leadership, recruitment, appraising, developing and coaching of the global market research team (two direct reports), creating a high-performing team that generates valuable market research for various processes.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily management of the Global Market Research team
  • Ensure brand strategy is captured and clear in global market research projects
  • Drive new and improved methodology within Global Market Research at HQ across focus areas
  • Drive global market research conducted for pipeline and marketed products
  • Responsible for aligned approach to Life Cycle Management in Global Market Research
  • Ensure processes supporting global market research across HQ departments
  • Drive effort to create strong collaborations with internal cross-functional stakeholders in Global Marketing (Affiliates, Senior Management, Disease Teams, Global Business Analysis, Pricing and Market Access, Business Development, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs and external partners) and the broader organization to ensure knowledge and understanding of relevant perspectives that inform the global product strategy
  • Accountable for concise, impactful and responsible communication to disease teams, affiliates and other stakeholders regarding market research results
  • Effectively lead meetings, prioritize and organize own and team’s tasks and responsibilities, lead agencies and utilize internal processes.

Lundbeck is seeking candidates whose specific qualifications include:

  • Master of science/business and have at least 10 years’ experience from the pharmaceutical industry and at least 5 years in an HQ function. Part of your experience may come from forecasting and business analysis
  • Expert in market research methodologies and able to draw strategic conclusions based on insights and experience.
  • Proven track record of leading larger cross-functional projects
  • Proven track record of creating global market research results, insights from market research or similar and you thrive working both strategically and operationally
  • Excellent communication skills as you will interact with and present to disease teams and key affiliates. In the same vein, you are good at stakeholder management
  • Other relevant pharma experience a plus (e.g. market access, brand management, business development, commercial operations) as well as international experience
  • Prior people management experience is a plus
  • As a person, you are enthusiastic, good at building relations across functions, great at driving projects, independent problem solver, strong team player and flexible 
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to accommodate 10-15% travel
