A position as Statistical Programmer is open in Biometric & Medical Writing, Singapore.

Biometric & Medical Writing, Singapore is an integral part of H. Lundbeck A/S Biometric division and Medical Documentation division, contributing greatly to clinical R&D (research and development) in the region and globally. Lundbeck Clinical R&D is responsible for a significant part of the project development activities striving to develop innovative and better medicines for patients suffering from brain disorders by generating medical and scientific evidence of the effectiveness and safety of innovative medicines that provide value to patients and the society. It is a team of 14 dynamic professionals with data management, biostatistics, programming, health economics and medical writing background performing clinical data analysis.

The position is based in Singapore.

Your job and key responsibilities
You are responsible for creation of integrated databases and creation of SAS datasets based on the analysis data model (ADaM) for regulatory submissions. You will also work in close collaboration with Biostatisticians to produce some of the statistical tables, required for the clinical trial reports.

You are expected to prepare appropriate documents, SAS programs/macros for validation of data and assure quality by reviewing programs written by other programmers.
At the same time, you will work in close co-operation with Clinical Data Managers, Biostatisticians, and colleagues in Head Office and other departments (in Lundbeck, Drug Development Satellite and head office) or partner companies.
Some travelling may be required.

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:
• A relevant academic degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Strong SAS Programming experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs
• Experience with CDISC (Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium) preferred, especially SDTM (Study Data Tabulation Model) and ADaM (Analysis Data Model)
• Statistical, analytical or equivalent work experience preferred
• Experience with the pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Good team player, and at the same time able to work independently
• Good communication and co-ordination skills and ability to make a decision
• Fluent in English
