Lundbeck Patient Advocacy Summit 2016: One voice – together we will make a difference

For the third time, Lundbeck will on 27-28 June host the annual global patient advocacy summit. This year’s theme is “One voice – together we will make a difference”, convening patient advocacy groups (PAGs) from across the world who are concerned with mental health and neurological disorders.

The summit offers knowledge exchange, a learning platform and an opportunity to hear from experts and share best practices. It will also provide an opportunity for the PAGs to network with advocacy colleagues from around the world.

The overall objective with the summit is to maintain and develop our strong relations with international and local PAGs. Patients and patient groups are an integral part of Lundbeck’s focus and strategy. Only by addressing patients’ needs can we achieve our business objectives and only by achieving our business objectives can we address patients’ needs.

The Summit has three specific objectives:

  • Engaging patient organizations and strengthening their capacities in order for them to become more empowered actors in national and international health policy arenas
  • Examining opportunities of cooperation with different stakeholders and get inspiration from best practices in the wider disease community
  • Providing an opportunity for patient organizations to meet, exchange ideas, create coalitions and learn from each other
