December 2015: PsychiatrySpeaks – Surveying current opinion about the care of patients with Schizophrenia

PsychiatrySpeaks provides new insights from an international market research survey of 1,650 psychiatrists from eight countries, conducted by Otsuka and Lundbeck in December 2014.

December 2015: Huge reduction in CO2 emissions and energy costs

For a number of years Lundbeck has conducted energy-conserving activities benefiting the environment and our business. This is possible through an integrated approach, where a dedicated team of engineers and maintenance employees challenge habits and conventional thinking to identify new ways to reduce our energy use and implement more sustainable energy sources.

This year, the theme of the day is ‘Dignity in Mental Health’ – a theme that invites you to think about what dignity actually means in your eyes – and perhaps also to evaluate whether you remember to treat other people with dignity in your everyday life?

1 October 2015 marks the annual European Depression Day, which this year focuses on ‘moving for depression’. Lundbeck supports the need for more action against depression, which remains one of the most burdensome diseases worldwide.

August 2015: Empowering carers through education and knowledge sharing

More than 26 million across the globe are living with a diagnosis of schizophrenia and twice as many carers are indirectly affected . Every day carers fulfil an important role in offering support and care and helping relatives with their recovery. The significance and impact of their role is increasingly recognised. At Lundbeck, we are committed to recognising the needs of families and improving the quality of life for the millions of carers supporting relatives with severe and enduring mental health problems. We actively support initiatives that can help to empower carers in their role through education and knowledge.

June 2015: Lundbeck’s 2015 Patient Advocacy Summit: With the patient in mind

On 25-26 June, 2015, Lundbeck is gathering patient organizations from around the world to share knowledge and insights across our joint field of interest: Patients living with brain disease.

June 2015: Dealing with challenges of dementia

Recognition of the challenge of Alzheimer’s disease by world leaders, increased efforts and funding, plus dedicated partnerships, generates considerable potential for treatment advancement. Lundbeck is dedicated to research and drug development for Alzheimer’s disease, and will continue to commit to this disease area, aiming to transform future perspectives for patients and caregivers in the years to come.

Depression is one of the biggest health challenges the world faces. More than 350 million people worldwide suffer from depression. The Economist Events’ conference, sponsored by Lundbeck, brought together key global opinion leaders to discuss this important issue and how depression should be addressed going forward.
