Brand Manager, Denmark – Lundbeck Pharma A/S, Business Area North

Lundbeck Business Area North consists of Denmark, UK, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Iceland and employs approximately 140 people who are dedicated to Lundbeck’s purpose of restoring brain health so every person can be their best. We have an open position as Brand Manager in Denmark for a strategic and extrovert individual reporting directly to the Cluster Marketing and Market Access Director.

As the Brand Manager, you are offered a unique and challenging position where you will be working with Lundbeck’s key product in depression in the Danish market as well as preparing for an impactful launch of a new migraine prevention therapy that is due to reach the market early 2023. We are therefore looking for a Brand Manager with deep insights and understanding of the Danish primary and secondary healthcare market as well as someone who understands brain diseases and ideally has worked with monoclonal antibodies previously.

 

Description

You have an important role in the Danish organisation and as Brand Manager you will lead and manage the strategic planning and day-to-day execution of marketing tactical activities and be driving the cross-functional work with internal partners such as sales, medical, HEOR/Market Access, Lauch Excellence Lead, and you will also be responsible for certain external key contacts as well as specific marketing projects across Business Area North.

You will join forces with colleagues in the different functions and great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities. To be successful in the role of Brand Manager you must have a strong ability to build relationships and be a good communicator. The position is based in Valby, Denmark, but some travelling, mainly in the Business Area North countries, will be required.            

 

Your job and key responsibilities

In the role as Brand Manager you will –

  • Lead the cross-functional local Brand Team for designated key products to ensure strategic planning and priorities are transformed into operational and tactical execution
  • Lead the cross-functional co-creation of launch plans and preparations, local brand/operational plan, ensuring the tactical plan developed meets the needs of the local market while aligning with the global strategic brand plan
  • Together with sales manager and MSL, responsible for creating and carrying out key customer interactions across the country on a regular basis
  • Ensure effective planning, execution and follow-up of both digital and more traditional interactions / education / congresses / meetings / exhibitions
  • Utilize Global assets and campaigns to develop localized campaigns and materials
  • Develop multichannel approach to ensure effective implementation of strategies
  • Manage the local production agencies and ensure local sign off of all materials
  • Ensure tasks are of correct quality and in accordance with local compliance, written SOPs and current legal requirements
  • Up-to-date and in depth knowledge of local marketing conditions and environment
  • Analyze sales, market and customer insights together with Business Intelligence Manager by gathering/generating and aligning data from research and the customer-facing roles
  • Guide field-based team; set appropriate objectives of how to use marketing materials; coordinate roles and responsibilities; ensure effective team communication and meetings
  • Train field-based team on marketing strategy and materials
  • Work closely with field-based team to gain customer insights and analyzes of performance data to further drive local activities
  • Assess need for and conduct local market research
  • Engage actively with customers to get feedback on marketing initiatives and gain insights into unmet needs and market development with the aim to optimize marketing activities
  • Manage relationships with local KEEs in collaboration with Medical and Sales
  • Manage and maintain promotional budget
  • Ensure close collaboration and proactive knowledge sharing with BA North Brand Managers
  • Drive cross-functional and cross-country specific projects in the BA as needed

Qualifications

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications -

  • Relevant education, e.g. bachelor’s degree within health science and/or commercial discipline
  • 5+ years of demonstrated pharma marketing experience in Denmark and preferably within CNS
  • Deep insights into the Danish pharmaceutical market dynamics and ethical rules
  • Proven experience with different marketing and digital channels and a passion for good customer experience
  • Prior product launch experience
  • Good strategic and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork capabilities
  • Ability to lead without authority
  • Ability to be structured and detail-oriented and still see the big picture
  • Selfdriven and likes to take initiative
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible with a positive mindset
  • Solution and feedback-oriented
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken English as well as Danish
