Therefore, all seminar participants will have the opportunity to organise local workshops in their home countries using the seminar CD-ROM material (The Workshop Manager) to disseminate the consensus from the seminars to as many care providers as possible. In order to facilitate the cascade, the Institute provides slides, animations, video clips, references and abstracts on a set of CD-ROMs for all four programmes. The material is easy to customise for short or long workshops, as well as for various levels of expertise. The material has been made available in four major languages: English, Spanish, German and French. Many seminar participants have implemented workshops at a local level. The Institute has had more than 2,400 participants at the seminars. They have, consequently, reached more than 55,000 care providers in local workshops. The cascade has proven very successful over the years. A further aim of the Lundbeck Institute is to provide educational material to general practitioners as part of the cascade. For this purpose, the Institute has decided to use the Internet where we can make use of our educational materials to a larger group of doctors. |
