We are currently seeking an ambitious person to join Lundbeck Group Services in Krakow as Senior Compliance & Reporting Specialist who will be an independent accounting expert, ensuring the delivery of all compliance & reporting processes in scope. The individual will connect, communicate and interact with employees and managers in EU regarding queries related to Finance. He/she will execute on activities and tasks identified as part of the GBS scope and serve as support towards the team, projects and external parties.

 

Lundbeck GBS is certified by ACCA/CIMA and provides relevant support and tools for our employees to be successful in progressing with their certifications for qualified accountants.

 

Your job and key responsibilities

 

As Senior Compliance & Reporting Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Performing compliance & reporting tasks in line with defined processes
  • Executing period-end tasks for assigned units, performing reconciliation and clearing of accounts, reporting actuals in reporting systems timely and in line with quality standards
  • Acting as subject matter expert for end-to-end statutory processes (excluding indirect tax filings), statutory financial statement preparation, direct tax, driving all statutory processes for assigned business area as per agreed timelines and scope
  • Performing quality review of deliverables from finance specialists and/or local service provider, assisting in disclosure preparation, handling escalations
  • Supporting Financial Controller in controlling tasks for the assigned business area as well as in identifying and implementing process improvements and process standardizations
  • Performing internal controls defined for processes in scope
  • Performing updates on process documentation
  • Leading more complex projects in support of realizing the strategy
  • Acting as backup for Financial Controller

Qualifications

Our preferred candidate has the following personal and professional qualifications:

  • Relevant experience with preparing independently financial statements under IFRS and local standards
  • Relevant practical tax experience (indirect, direct taxes)
  • Master degree in Finance/Accounting
  • ACCA/CIMA is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work with limited guidance and able to determine information needed to resolve more complex issues, manage pressure effectively and cope well with setbacks
  • Taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Being able to work to tight deadlines and with switching priorities
  • Proactive and creative in terms of improving ways of working
  • Team player
