The main purpose of the role is to assure the delivery of all compliance and reporting processes in scope for assigned locations. Team Manager owns delivery of appropriate service quality. Team Manager is key player to drive effective and stimulating cooperation across various teams, processes, systems and functions.

Key responsibilities & tasks:

  • Manages and leads the team of Financial Controllers, Chief Accountants and Compliance and Reporting Specialists,
  • Stimulates cooperation across Lundbeck Group Business Services functional teams to ensure alignment,
  • Acts as a trusted business partner to Finance Directors, Headquarters, GBS Functional Managers, external service providers and other stakeholders,
  • Holds responsibility for Compliance and Reporting processes and ensures that they are run effectively and efficiently,
  • Establishes appropriate framework to ensure appropriate quality of reporting and compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements in assigned AUs,
  • Responsible for design and effectiveness of internal controls in Compliance and Reporting, reports incompliance to Process Manager and develops accounting policies and internal controls to maintain and strengthen the controls framework,
  • Escalates any requested functional process changes to Process Manager and Process Excellence Manager,
  • Monitors the development of business processes documentation and KP- data gathering & performs analysis,
  • Monitors external benchmark, user and customer satisfaction and actions on functional improvement,
  • Leads critical projects/improvement initiatives/migrations, etc.,
  • Supports in tactical and strategic planning for the assigned area.

Professional qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience,
  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance (preferably accounting qualifications ACCA/CPA),
  • Strong technical background in both IFRS and local GAAP and TAX reporting,
  • 5 years of experience in managing a team,
  • Experience in financial controlling and business partnering is a must,
  • Technology: SAP, BW/BI, MS Office.

Personal competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and business partnering skills,
  • Experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to management,
  • Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers,
  • Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work with limited guidance and able to determine information needed to resolve more complex issues, manage pressure effectively and cope well with setbacks,
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for data interpretation versus. simple reporting,
  • Ability to identify potentials and goals could be achieved for the whole company,
  • Willing to work in a dynamic environment with switching priorities.
