The Global Market Analysis team (GMA) at Lundbeck is looking for a part time student assistant from 1 October 2017. Your responsibility will be to support the team with forecasting, market research and administrative tasks.
In Global Market Analysis, we support the commercial organization with providing actionable insights and evaluate global business opportunities. This role is an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to gain experience in preparation of commercial analysis and gain understanding of key drivers of choice in the pharmaceutical industry.
The successful candidate will be supporting the generation of insights understanding the performance and potential of Lundbecks products in close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders in global cross-functional teams. The tasks will build the candidates knowledge of business analysis as well as primary market research methodologies. The candidate will contribute information, analysis, and recommendations to support the wider team and help with various administrative tasks on an ad hoc basis.

The GMA department consists of 2 areas, with a total of 10 dedicated employees:

  • Global Business Analysis
  • Global Market Research

You will be a part of a global pharmaceutical company specialized in the treatment of brain diseases (CNS disorders), and building up and strengthening our customer interaction activities which are key to our business.
We provide you with projects that will focus on global brand performance and strategy, which will provide you with work experience and the option to gain practical perspectives on academic topics.
We expect that you support our division in the following areas:

  • Assistance of Global Market Analysis activities by providing professional and effective administrative support
  • Tracking and analysis regarding commercial performance and brand objectives across Lundbeck brands.
  • Assistance in execution of primary market research projects.

Your job and key responsibilities

You will be supporting the daily work through:
Areas of responsibility:

  • Assist team members with defined projects within business analysis and market research.
  • Recommend new approaches or processes to the continual improvement or efficiency of the department analytical tools and analysis
  • Process metrics to measure the effectiveness of Lundbeck’s global strategy and sales performance with the purpose of improving future activities across the commercial organization.
  • Source, contract and provide frames for smaller ad hoc product meeting and events
  • Ad hoc administrative support, such as but not limited to, handling of invoices, follow up on budget and costs, assisting with budgeting system related to project

The job is part time (15-20 hours per week) and paid, and will ideally commence by October, 2017.


We seek students with the following qualifications

  • Currently studying at university level (economy, business, social science, marketing or related)
  • Strong analytical profile, with proficiency in handling and analysing big data sets
  • Knowledge and experience of IT tools such as Office package.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to perform in an international environment
  • It is essential that you are structured and quality focused and can express yourself fluently in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Organized, self-motivated and able to work independently on projects


  • You are proactive and ambitious.
  • You have a positive and open mind-set and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You are highly motivated and flexible, take pride in keeping deadlines and able to handle a variety of different tasks simultaneously.
